Request a dental treatment estimate from photos

Photos, existing X-rays and a current treatment plan can help a clinic prepare a preliminary estimate. They cannot confirm every condition, risk, treatment need or final price without an examination.

What should you send for a preliminary estimate?

Clear dental photos

Follow the receiving clinic's photo instructions. Use good light and focus, and do not delay local care to take photos.

Records you already have

Include a recent X-ray, scan, written treatment plan or relevant dental history if available. State the date and which clinic produced each record.

What you want to know

Explain what you want to understand, relevant timing and whether you are comparing an existing quote. Do not omit health information requested by the treating team.

What a preliminary estimate should say

What can be described remotely

  • Likely treatment lines based on the material supplied
  • Named components and provisional quantities
  • Which parts of the estimate remain uncertain
  • Likely visit stages, subject to examination

What still needs clinical confirmation

  • Diagnosis and whether treatment is suitable
  • Bone, gum, bite and hidden tooth conditions
  • Risks, alternatives and consent
  • Final treatment plan and price

Ask for each uncertainty to be marked rather than hidden inside one total. If new findings change the plan at the clinic, the treating dentist should explain the reason, alternatives and revised price before treatment begins.

Why the final plan needs a dentist's assessment

The General Dental Council advises that a qualified dentist should assess you before providing a treatment plan and cost estimate, including taking a full medical history. Professional guidance for remote consultations also says the clinician must have enough information for a safe assessment and should arrange examination or testing when it is needed.

Information check: primary regulatory sources checked 27 August 2026. This page explains the limits of preliminary remote information and does not replace advice from the treating dentist.

Photo and estimate questions

Do I need an X-ray before sending an enquiry?

No existing X-ray is required to contact us. If you have one, include its date and source. The treating dentist decides which current imaging is necessary before a final plan.

Is the estimate a fixed final price?

No. It is based on the information available remotely. The treating dentist confirms the final scope and price after examination and any necessary imaging.

Who makes the clinical decision?

The treating dentist or appropriate clinical team. EU Dental Tourism routes the enquiry and coordinates communication but does not diagnose or provide treatment.

Does requesting an estimate commit me?

Sending an enquiry is not consent to treatment. Read any clinic, deposit, cancellation and treatment terms before taking a later step.

How is health information handled?

The form requires explicit consent for EU Dental Tourism to receive the health details you choose to send. We identify the intended dental clinic before asking for separate agreement to share that information for clinical review. Read the privacy policy for purpose, sharing, retention and rights information.

Send an enquiry

Use the contact form to attach up to two files, state what you want to understand and confirm consent before sending health information.

EU Dental Tourism may receive a referral fee if a patient we introduce chooses treatment. Diagnosis, treatment, consent and clinical responsibility remain with the treating clinic and dentist.
