Appearance and material
Confirm the restoration type and material shown on the treatment plan. Discuss shade or shape before permanent fitting where the procedure allows a try-in.
Review and adjustment
Ask what should feel normal, which concerns need adjustment, when review occurs and whether the clinician wants time between fitting and departure.
Will every treatment have a try-in?
No. The stages depend on the restoration and clinical plan. Ask which parts are provisional, which can be changed and when you are being asked to accept final work.
What should I check before final fitting?
Ask the dentist to explain fit, bite, shade, shape, material, cleaning and any limitations relevant to the restoration. Describe what you feel rather than relying only on appearance.
Can a laboratory change be made the same day?
Do not assume it can. Timing depends on the laboratory, restoration, size of the change and clinical availability. Build travel plans around the provider's confirmed process.
How many visits will I need?
The treatment plan should state the expected stages and which dates remain provisional. Implant healing, laboratory work or another finding can require later visits.
What if I am not comfortable with the result?
Raise the concern before leaving. Ask the treating dentist to examine the issue, explain options and document any agreed adjustment or follow-up.
Should I fly immediately after the final fitting?
Ask the treating dentist whether a review interval is needed. Consider the consequences if a bite, fit or temporary restoration needs attention after departure.
What documents should match the fitted work?
Check that the final invoice, treatment record, material or laboratory details and any implant identifiers reflect what was actually provided.
